Portfolio
I’m eager to gain experience and input from a variety of settings and collaborators. This will help shape my own personal journey to become the best dance teacher / educator / scientist that I can be.
My academic and professional work is driven by a commitment to bridging the gap between scientific research and studio-based practice. I hold an MSc in Dance Science (Distinction) from Trinity Laban and a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education (First) from the Royal Academy of Dance.

Dance Science
My training has developed specialist expertise in Safe Dance Practice, Dance Education and Training, Strength and Conditioning, and Arts for Health, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of biomechanics, physiology, nutrition, psychology, and injury prevention.
My MSc dissertation focused on increasing awareness and implementation of safe dance practice among teachers, students, and parents in recreational dance settings. This research has informed my ongoing interest in knowledge translation and the integration of evidence-based practice within dance education, which I am keen to extend into higher education through both teaching and research.
Research Interests
I continue to develop my research interests through collaboration with Safe in Dance International, supporting initiatives that promote healthy and sustainable dance practice and am a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS), active on the Dance Educator and Early Career Dance Scientist special interest groups.
My MSc research has been accepted for presentation at Dance Science conferences, and I am currently preparing my research for publication. I have also developed and delivered workshops to dance teachers/schools on safe dance practice.

My experience also includes mentoring students through independent projects and research tasks, supporting the development of academic writing and reflective practice. In addition, I teach across a range of London-based dance schools, working with students in both recreational and pre-professional contexts.

I am particularly motivated to work within higher education environments that value research-informed teaching, student wellbeing, and interdisciplinary collaboration. My aim is to equip students not only with technical and artistic skills, but also with the knowledge and strategies required to sustain long, healthy careers within the performing arts.
I am passionate about empowering students to take ownership of their physical and psychological wellbeing through accessible, research-informed practice, while supporting them in developing as reflective, informed practitioners.
